Rene Utianski discusses how her ASHFoundation funding helped launch her research into primary progressive aphasia and apraxia of speech to see how they specifically affect language and speech. Dr. Utianski received the ASHFoundation’s New Century Scholars Doctoral Scholarship in 2012 and the New Investigators Research Grant in 2017. She has since received additional funding from the Mayo Clinic to continue her research.
