Advocacy on ASHA's 2023 Capitol Hill Day

ASHA’s Committee of Ambassadors and the ASHA-PAC Board gathered in Washington, D.C. to advocate for audiology and speech-language pathology during ASHA’s annual Capitol Hill Day on May 10, 2023. They met with members of Congress to provide education about who audiologists and SLPs are and the important work they do. They also advocated for support or opposition on various pieces of legislation. Activities from the day generated significant support for priority bills such as Supporting Medicare for Patients and Providers Act and the Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act.
